Primary Liaison

Pupils from each partner primary school visit Aldridge Science College laboratories once every seven weeks from September to May. Following the Key Stage 2 SATs, another visit will be arranged as part of our 'summer investigation'. This programme of lessons has been devised in collaboration with the primary schools to meet the following criteria: 1. To aid the transition process from KS2 to KS3 2. To enable pupils to become familiar with the new and exciting laboratory environment and specialist apparatus used in science 3. To enhance and reinforce selected aspects of the KS2 curriculum, which lend themselves to the specialist apparatus and chemicals, in order to improve pupil understanding in preparation for the KS2 SATs
